For Those Who Wish to Engage in a Journey of Transformation

October 21, 2024 – January 8th, 2025

WHAT DO YOU WISH TO TRANSFORM?

  • Are you looking for tools and practices for self-empowerment?
  • Are you curious about Ganesha and want to learn more about him?
  • Do you want to engage in Ganesha-based practices but don’t know how?
  • Are you wishing to connect with Ganesha but  you’re not sure how to begin?
  • Are you in the midst of a big life change or transition?
  • Are you longing for a new beginning or for transformation in your life?

Did you thinkYES,” to any of the above?

If so…

30 Things About Transformation is for you!

I say this with great understanding because Ganesha has helped me get through some extremely tough times. I wanted all these things.

So I dove in.

The first temple I ever visited on my first pilgrimage to South India was a small sweet Ganesh Temple in Pondicheri. I was moved, stunned by its beauty, and knew that this was the beginning of a lifelong connection. I proceeded to fall in love again and again with the many Ganesha Temples we visited, and once back in New York, began to visit the Ganesha Temple here as well. It felt like home.
A few years later I created a course called 30 Things About Ganesha. My desire was to dive into learning about Ganesha, connecting deeply to Ganesha practices, philosophy, and stories, and to share all of it with people who were equally interested.
I immersed myself in research through scholarly channels and through personal practices handed down from teacher to student. I read stacks of academic books, continued to spend time annually in the temples of South India, chanted Ganesha mantras, practiced Ganesha mudras, and studied with top scholars.
The course emerged as a series of newsletters packed with information, practices, and imagery. It has been wildly popular throughout the years, but this year, for the first time since I created it, I have decided to add weekly live Embodiment Sessions so we can gather, connect, and interact.
What is an Embodiment Session? An Embodiment Session is when we invite the practices and teachings of Ganesha to come alive in our bodies and minds. Ganesha is about steadfastness during change, about transformation, about wisdom, about sweetness, about new beginnings, and about so much more that all of us want in our lives. Through meditation, mantra, mudra, and writing, we can awaken these qualities within ourselves.

We practice and are transformed.

For this reason, I am now calling this course 30 Things About Transformation.

I am excited to offer this to you.

30 Things About Transformation is designed for soulful individuals wishing to deepen their connection to the Ganesha, the Deity of Beginnings, Change, and Transformation. If you want  to immerse yourself in Ganesha practices and wisdom, accessing the Ganesh energy within yourself, and acquiring lasting tools to connect with him in your daily life, join us.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

When you connect with Ganesha, you connect with the universe. Why? Because Ganesha is the Lord of Beginnings. He resides in every moment of change, from the overt, such as beginning a new venture, to every aspect of our embodied lives from our being born, to the dawn initiating a new day, to every breath we take. Ganesha is said to carry the universe in his belly, and like him, we are each a universe unto ourselves. In 30 Things About Transformation, you will learn how to access this power within your own body, heart, and mind.

WHY IS THIS CONNECTION IMPORTANT?

  • When you engage with the energy of Ganesha within you, your life becomes richer and deeper.
  • You feel connected within which helps you connect to the world around you.
  • You step into flow.
  • You enter a greater state of harmony through becoming more deeply in touch with the full possible range of emotions and experiences: the shadow as well as the light.
  • You don’t see the world as happening to you. Instead, you engage with the world from your empowered center.

I know this from personal experience, and it is my greatest joy to share this experience and this access with you.

I invite you to step in.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN?

When you engage in Ganesha-based practices, your life changes.
  • You begin to feel deeply connected to the world.
  • You start finding inspiration in everyday life.
  • Your daily rituals become more meaningful.
  • You feel held and supported by practices and meditations, individually and with our group.
  • You feel at home within yourself, just like Ganesha.
I created this course while searching for all these things in my own life, so I know what your searching feels like. This experience of my searching, combined with my decade and a half of pilgrimage and darshan in South India and my over twenty years of teaching, have resulted in 30 Things About Transformation.

Susanna’s class offered me not just the opportunity to spend two hours every week immersed online in a community of writers for seven weeks, it also encouraged me to cultivate a daily writing practice and to read texts in a more focused and mindful way. It is difficult to overstate how much those two dedicated hours flowed over into the rest of my life, spurring a very creative period in the midst of an otherwise difficult year.

In 30 Things About Transformation, as in all my courses, I share my personal approach to generating and nurturing our Creativity and Transformational Power, which is based on these 6 Elements of Creativity:

TRUST – Trust your creative impulse.
BELIEVE – Believe in yourself and your value.
EMBODY – Connect body, mind, and spirit to express your fullest self.
FOCUS – Be fearless in your focus.
ACT – Don’t hesitate – take action – dive in.
FLOW – Stop censoring yourself and let your creativity flow.
Whether you are learning about Ganesha practices and stories, cultivating his steadfastness in the face of change and uncertainty, or channeling his energy and insight for your personal creative work, these 6 Elements of Creative Transformation will serve as touchstones in our journey together.

Listening to you share stories / mythology which were an essential part of my childhood has been a real pleasure. The energy with which you share these stories is infectious. You’re able to take mythological sagas set in ancient times and make them accessible to an audience of the 21st century.

Susanna is a powerful, generous and soulful person. She teaches from a genuine place in her heart and marries her deep knowledge with her rich life experience. When I take a writing course with Susanna (I’ve taken many), she guides me to open doors inside of me that I didn’t know existed. The thoughtful questions she asks, the intelligent phrasing of her words and the pace and tone of her voice. This is the magic of Susanna’s teaching.

Time and time again, I am moved by the way Susanna’s own embodiment influences me. I feel a heightened sense of myself. I begin to play with my creativity and allow ideas to flow freely. Each course has taken me on a new journey.

Susanna is a remarkable teacher! Every course is worthwhile.
